Dori Smith is co-author of the best-selling JavaScript for the World Wide Web: Visual QuickStart Guide, 3rd Edition and the author of Java for the World Wide Web: Visual QuickStart Guide, both from Peachpit Press. She has also contributed to numerous computer industry magazines. In addition to writing, she has been programming for over 20 years, with degrees from UC Irvine and UC San Diego, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. She is also a Contributing Editor for MacTech magazine and is on their Advisory Board, and is a member of the Web Standards Project Steering Committee.
